Participated in 3 full product life cycles of ERDAS IMAGINE®, industry-leading software and the flagship product of the company, which provides an array of advanced tools to visualize, create, manage and analyze imagery(e.g. satellite images) to increase the value of geospatial info for military, scientific and commercial usages. Worked closely with product management, quality assurance and customer support.


- Designed, developed and maintained DirectX based rendering libraries for Real-Time raster/vector data using C++ with multithreading and design patterns, which not only resulted in dramatic performance gain but also cut the cost of code maintenance significantly.
- Maintained an OpenGL based 3D viewer in visualizing terrains and layers of raster, annotation, and vector data, which was intefrated with the 2D viewer as a key feature of IMAGINE 2010
- Sped up vector rendering 10+ times with various techniques including improved data structure and existing rendering pipeline refactoring. Vector performance improvement was one of the biggest selling points of IMAGINE 9.3
- Strong troubleshooting skills. Team's 'Ace' in tackling difficult bugs across the system
- A self-motivated team player. Initiated innovative projects including a new viewing platform and various others that add new functionalities and/or improve user experience. Many were or will be promoted to key features of commercialized products.
