Projects::Applets in Processing
Processing is an open source programming language and environment for people who want to program images, animation, and interactions. |
I have used it to experiment with new ideas, and to create prototypes in the early stage of bigger projects.
Progressive Line Simplification
Experiment with the classic Douglas-Peucker line simplification algorithm. I came up with a way to interpolate lines so the simplification progress is continuous and thus achieved smooth zooming experience. |
Cover Flow Prototype
After using Apple's Cover Flow in iPhone, I decided to try to recreate it just for fun. I came up with several interaction models, here is one of them. |
Viewer Prototype
An applet that combined several experiments including: progressive rendering with pyramid layers, different ways to perform zooming, selecting, ...etc.
